Manebi Valenciana espadrilles

I normally wear U.S. size 8/Euro 39 in shoes. However, TrueFit recommended size 38 for me in these espadrilles, so I ordered a 38, only to find they were too short and snug in the toes. It then occurred to me to check sizing directly on the Manebi web site--sure enough, they recommend size 39 for U.S. size 8. I called J. Crew customer service and told them about the discrepancy, and they allowed me to return the 38 for full refund despite being final sale. I reordered in size 39, which are a touch too long, but still a much better fit than the too-small 38. Had to get a different color, since the red/blue I originally ordered sold out, but the two variations are so similar, it's hardly noticeable. Super flat with zero arch support, so not for all-day walking, but good for casual summer strolling.

I got these in a size 37, which is more like a 6.5 than a size 7, which I normally wear. These are somewhat small in the length and width - not a lot of give, but they fit me perfectly and most espadrilles tend to run small. They come with a cute little branded shoe bag, which is a plus. I'm happy with these, but I think they are designed for normal to narrow feet.
