Fantastic style. If above 5'6" or so, try a Tall.
June 23, 2020I usually wear a 27 in the 10-inch toothpick. I ordered a size 4 (my True Size), normal length, but found the fit quite odd. For context I'm on the thinner side of a more extreme hourglass (waist around 26-27" depending on tacos, hips around 34" with a butt) and 5'7". High-waisted, as my grandma says, longish-appearing legs. This makes pants a challenge. The size 4 Normal didn't do anything for my figure - it seemed to obscure my waist while making me look a bit like a sausage around the hips, and the legs were so short my ankles felt bare. The fit just didn't seem right and wouldn't have looked good with heels of any kind - in fact I was pretty sure I didn't own shoes that would make it look alright - so I went back and ordered the size 6 in Tall. BREEZY PERFECTION. I am in love. Thanks to the tie-waist I still get to have a defined waist, but the slacks fall perfectly around the hips with free movement in the legs & perfect length. Adore it.

Fit like a glove!
May 9, 2020I have an hourglass figure and I have never, ever bought a pair of pants that fit perfectly but these do! They accentuate the waist and are a bit more forgiving in the hips without being too baggy. I also won't need them hemmed, which is unusual for this type of pant as I am 5'4. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down and the fabric is incredible. I always expect great quality from J. Crew but these exceeded my expectations!
